This menu planner has been developed by Imperial College London’s Partnership for Child Development (PCD) with the generous support of Dubai Cares and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Developed by a team from PCD lead by Aulo Gelli, the menu planner has benefited from nutritional expertise provided by Salha Hamdani, Kristie Neeser and technical support provided by Francis Peel and Charlotte Broyd.

In-country refinement, development of the nutritional components and regional trainings were conducted by PCD’s Daniel Mumuni in conjunction with the Ghana team’s Lutuf Abdul-Rahman, Getrude Ananse-Baiden and Abigail Bondzie. Consultancy support was provided by Rosanna Agble and Rita Bhatia.

The software was written by Lee Messenger and Stuart Hill (Aptitude www.aptitude.co.uk). The offline menu planner was developed by Alvin Parish.

The menu planner as whole builds on original concepts by Arlene Mitchell (formerly of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation), Rae Galloway (PATH) whose ginger bread children formed a key building block. PCD are indebted to Brian Shaad, Nikhil Jaisinghani from Value Development Initiatives for their work developing the original prototype.

The menu planner would not have been possible without the advice and knowledge by Charlotte Dufuor (FAO) Natasha Nadazdin (WFP), Joris Van hees (WFP), Emilie Sidaner (WFP), and Rita Bhatia.

PCD are extremely grateful for the valuable feedback provided during the development process by colleagues from the Government of Ghana, including, Susan Torson (Ghana School Feeding Programme), Kate Quarshie (Ghana Health Service) and Dorca Hushie (Ghana Education Service, School Health Education Programme).
