School Feeding Stats
The Ghana School Feeding Programme started in 2005 with ten pilot schools drawn from the ten regions of Ghana benefiting a handful of students. The programme has since expanded to cover 170 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in Ghana. By the end of the second quarter of 2011, the programme was feeding an estimated 713,590 children in public primary schools in Ghana on every school going day with plans to feed one million children by the end of the third quarter of 2011.
