PCD's Mali Programme Manager, Amadou Sekou Diallo outlines the current and past implementation of school feeding in Mali. 

Reflecting on the history, context and need of school feeding policy and programmes , Diallo explains the historic implementation of school feeding at both national and regional levels as well as touching on the current progress that programmes, with the essential backing and support from the Malian government, have made towards the educational achievement and nutritional status of school-aged children.

Finally, suggestions for further improvement of programme implementation are made, especially looking to the importance of a strong institutional structure and coordination.
