13th ANNUAL GLOBAL CHILD NUTRITION FORUM
The Global Child Nutrition Forum is an initiative conducted annually to assist leaders from developing and transitional countries with planning and implementing sustainable school feeding programs. To date, over 200 leaders from over 83 countries have participated in the Global Forum. The Forum unites leaders for five days of intensive training, technical assistance and planning to help countries establish sustainable school feeding programs.
The 13th Annual Global Child Nutrition Forum, hosted by the Government of Kenya and co-sponsored by Global Child Nutrition Forum and Partnership for Chid Development, will be held at the Hilton Hotel from 3rd May to 6th May 2011.
The key theme of the 2011 Forum will be linking agriculture development to school feeding to achieve long-term food and nutrition security with resulting country self-sufficiency. This high level Global Forum, hosted by the Government of Kenya, will bring together a broad range of multi-sectoral experts from local, regional and international settings; in total over 140 delegates are expected to attend. These will include high level government officials from Ministries of Agriculture, Education and Health, and key international development partners.
